Mono Jetronic is an electronically controlled low pressure, single-point injection system for 4 cylinder engines. It features a single centrally mounted solenoid controlled injector for the entire engine. The heart of this system is the central injection unit. A variety of sensors are used to monitor engine operation and furnish the essential control parameters for optimum mixture adaptation. Mono Motronic is as per mono-jetronic but also includes ignition functions into the electronic control unit.
